Anchorage Digital expands global services with Standard Chartered

Digital asset custody services provider Anchorage Digital has formed a partnership with Standard Chartered through which it will offer USD accounts and access to Swift wires, including transfers to and from third parties, to eligible non-US institutional clients.

Anchorage pitches itself as at the centre of a movement toward a financial system where traditional rails and blockchain networks converge, where fiat and digital assets sit side by side in the same account, and where value moves anywhere in the world at any hour of any day.

The firm’s Singapore business is now offering clients access to USD accounts and Swift transfers, extending a capability already available to US firms through Anchorage Digital Bank to institutions worldwide.

Clients onboarded through Anchorage Digital Singapore can also move USD around the clock, including weekends and holidays, with counterparties that bank with Standard Chartered Singapore.

Whether an institutional client onboards through Anchorage Digital Bank in the US or Anchorage Digital Singapore internationally, they now gain access to one place to manage both fiat and digital assets.

“Global businesses should not have to choose between the speed of digital assets and the reliability of traditional banking rails. With this expansion, clients around the world can hold USD alongside digital assets, send and receive fiat wires, and settle around the clock, all on one platform,” says Nathan McCauley, CEO, Anchorage Digital.
